Within the framework of this programme, the Irtiqaa project, partnership between ANAPEC and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), was completed on 30 September 2022.
In a statement, ANAPEC mentioned that this project, which ran from October 2020 to September 2022, was implemented in three areas (Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, Beni Mellal-Khenifra and Casablanca-Settat) and financed by the IOM’s Development Fund, adding that it enabled participants to take part in entrepreneurship training.
A study carried out within the framework of this project has provided a better understanding of the impact of circular migration on the daily and family life of the women who benefit from it. A percentage 83% of these women was able to support their families on their return from Spain. However, their situation remains precarious due to the lack of real career prospects for them upon their return to Morocco.
