George Hajj, President of the Syndicate of Bank Employees, called for the protection of employees whose duties require them to continue working during the closure period. He also called for quick and effective solutions regarding savings deposits, warning that the syndicate will impose a new closure of banks in case of new robberies.
Five banks were robbed last Friday by their own customers, who demanded, with weapons in hand, to recover the money in their savings.
