The workers, who organized several protests in front of the governorate headquarters, called for solving their professional situation in accordance to the requirements of a decent life. Their salaries with allowances do not exceed 20,000 Sudanese pounds per month (about 35 dollars).
The protestors, also, demanded a revision of work contracts and their inclusion in the salaried workforce with full rights.
