This increase is part of a more global framework aimed at unifying the minimum wages applicable in agriculture with those of industry, commerce, and liberal professions by 2028, as stipulated in the agreement of 30 April 2022, signed by the government, trade unions and the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture and Rural Development.
It is worth noting that the agricultural sector represents about a quarter of the GDP and provides more than a third of employment in Morocco.
