The Secretary-General of the regional labour Union told TAP that the regional authorities will help with the workers’ education of children. They will also be providing with free medical cards. The trade union official stated that workers who reached the retirement age will be dismissed in case a solution is not reached.
It is worth noting that workers protested in front of the governorate headquarters to demand the payment of the salaries they did not receive in 14 months since the closure of the factory.
