==The coordinator of the Israeli government’s activities in the Palestinian territories said that “after assessing security measures, the Minister of Defence decided to grant 1,500 new permits to workers and traders in Gaza.” The decision comes into effect on 21 August and will bring the total number of permits granted to Palestinians in Gaza to 15,500.
The permits allow workers to cross the Beit Hanoun crossing, located in the north of the Gaza Strip, to work in the occupation territories.
