The meeting aims at examining the social demands included in the strike notice of 16 June 2022, including the opening of negotiations on wage increases in the public service and the public sector, an increase in the minimum wage, the cancellation of the social solidarity contribution and the cancellation of circular No. 20, which prohibits any negotiation without the government’s authorisation.
The second part of the negotiations addresses structural reforms required by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to grant a loan of about 4 billion dollars to Tunisia.
