After a meeting held on July 14, the executive board of FENASOL called for a protest against the dictates of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the government’s inaction.
In a statement, the executive board of the trade union denounced the situation of about 320,000 public sector employees whose salaries have lost 95% of their value. FENASOL expressed its support for the civil servants who are on open strike to call for the improvement of their situation.
FENASOL also rejected any increase or salary revision that would be, according to the recommendations of the Central Bank, applied only to one category of civil servants.
