Egypt: 8,000 people to have their bread and fertiliser subsidies withdrawn

During a meeting with parliamentarians from the conservative bloc, Moustafa Madbouli also announced that the President of the Republic has asked for a census of unused land in order to transform it into state sales points and wholesale markets to allow citizens to buy food at controlled prices throughout the year.

 

The Prime Minister also announced that the current regime is studying the possibility of privatising several hospitals and universities that would soon be offered to Arab investment funds.
