A total of 159 public institutions and establishments participated in this strike, including seaports, airports, and means of transportation. The programs of state-owned television channels and radio stations were suspended. The trade union organization calls for opening the door for dialogue in the demands of the sectors concerned with the strike, about raising the salaries of employees in the public sector, and improving their purchasing power in light of the worst economic crisis the country has witnessed since the independence.
