IOM stated on its Twitter page that “15% of migrants in Yemen are women and girls who are exposed to grave violations, including gender-based violence.” The organization stressed “the need to protect these migrants from abuse and exploitation.”
The organization indicated that, in partnership with the European Union (EU), it has expanded its humanitarian support to include 325,000 conflict-affected people and migrants, and is working to deliver life-saving aid to thousands of displaced people and migrants.
