In a statement issued on 17 May, the federation said that the deficit in the social security funds should not be compensated for by reducing the rights of pensioners and suggested that this issue should be addressed through more hiring and salary increases, which would allow for an increase in contributions.
Noting that the increase in the retirement age by 5 years represents a heavy burden for women, the federation called for the postponement of the implementation of the new amendments until the country manages to overcome its economic crisis, which it said would be in five years.
