Taxi drivers via an application in one of the companies in Amman carried out a partial strike last Sunday, in protest against the failure to implement the promises they received from government agencies and the companies’ failure to comply with the decisions of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority. The protestors demanded a reduction in the percentage received by the companies, and a reduction in the number of trips paid by credit cards.
It is worth noting that about 4,000 taxi drivers lost their jobs, and about 13,000 people work in this sector, according to the Federation of App Drivers.
