The minister explained that although this sum is not very large, it represents a step forward for the rights of workers who have already benefited from transport and education bonuses. The minister recalled that the new increase is part of the decisions taken following the work of the index committee which he himself chairs and which is composed of trade unions and employers’ organisations.
It is worth noting that Lebanon is witnessing an unprecedented economic and financial crisis.
