The agreement approved raising the minimum wage in the public office to 3,500 dirhams net (350 euros) with the aim of improving the workers’ financial situation who are ranked in the minimum wage scales, provided that this procedure will enter into force from September 2022.
The National Charter for Social Dialogue measures, also, include reviewing the income tax system and reviewing the sections and tax rates according to the outcomes of the third national competition for levies for the year 2019 and its inclusion in the Finance Law 2023.
To support the purchasing power of workers, the government raised the value of family allowances for the fourth, fifth and sixth child to 100 dirhams per month, and created a joint institution for the advancement of social work for the benefit of employees and agents of public administrations who do not have social work institutions through the adoption of a law regulating them.
Other measures include adopting new legislative and regulatory measures with regard to protection from work-related diseases and accidents, with the aim of addressing the imbalances defined by the application of the framework legal requirements.
