The Omani ambassador in Geneva, the permanent representative of Oman to the UN, the director-general of the ILO and the secretary-general of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) and the ITF attended the ratification ceremony.
The convention, known as the Seafarers’ Bill of Rights, was adopted in February 2006 and will enter into force in Oman on 29 March 2023 to consolidate the rights and protection of seafarers.
