Tunisia: Petroserv-Catering workers return to work after five months of protests

The agreement includes the hiring of 86 workers, mentioned in previous reports, as of January 2022 while waiting for the courts to rule on the salaries of November and December 2021. The company has undertaken to pay 1,500 dinars for each worker before the end of the week as an advance on their salary.

The trade union party has committed itself to respecting the company’s internal regulations and to ensuring that the workers move into the housing provided for this purpose by the company after the necessary work has been done, in accordance with a note issued by the labour inspectorate.

Following this agreement, Petroserv-Catering resumed its activities after five months of protests and social tension.
