Moroccan authorities prevented several attempts to migrate by sea over the past week and arrested 236 migrants last Friday and Saturday in the regions of Tarfaya and Laayoune.
It is worth noting that the Spanish authorities in the Canary Islands have started organising weekly flights to Morocco to deport irregular migrants who arrived in the archipelago last year. These operations are part of an agreement signed between the Moroccan and Spanish governments.
