In a media statement, the union’s president explained that extending the retirement age by three years, from 55 to 58, would have a negative impact on all workers. He explained that this would also cause problems in the employment structure as younger employees would take longer to access promotions and advance in their careers.
The union president also pointed out that such a measure will impact on the recruitment of new graduates and called on the government to revise its proposal and on MPs to oppose it.
