The workshops opened with a dialogue seminar between representatives of both workers and employers in order to formulate unified visions between the two parties on the concepts and forms of social dialogue and on 12 goals of the sustainable development goals. The participants were divided into working groups that discussed the sustainable development goals in their economic, social, institutional, and climatic aspects.
The same methodology was also adopted for the second workshop, which included representatives of workers and representatives of civil society, and the third, which included representatives of employers with representatives of civil society.
The three workshops culminated in a set of recommendations, which will form a platform for action during the third phase of the SOLiD – Pilot Project for the Promotion of Social Dialogue in the Southern Mediterranean Neighbourhood.
This program entered its second phase at the end of 2021 with the accession of Algeria, Palestine, and Lebanon, after it was limited in its first phase to Morocco, Tunisia, and Jordan.
