The strike was decided by the Trade Union of EDL workers and users after a negotiation session that did not lead to any agreement with the ministerial party and the company’s representatives.
The trade union criticised the ministerial plan to reform EDL and explained that it only takes into consideration the interests of the service companies and does not provide any guarantees for the rights of employees.
The union reiterated all the workers’ demands, inviting them to observe a strike and to organise protest rallies within the company.
