Morocco: According to a study, more than half of the working population is without a diploma

The HCP indicated that more than half of the working population (52.9%) in 2021 are not qualified, while 31.2% have a medium-level diploma and 15.9% have a high-level diploma.

 

According to the sector of activity, the share of employed persons with a higher diploma is 27.8% in services, 16.8% in industry and 6.6% in construction and public works, says the HCP in its note.

 

Regarding social security, the HCP revealed that 25% of the working population will benefit from social protection in 2021. This rate was 24.7% in 2020. 24.4% of the working population benefit from the pension system with a high participation of women, who are at 28.7% against 23.1% for men.
