The attendees discussed the action plan for the coming period, which includes holding training workshops, aimed at raising the workers’ and trade unions’ awareness of the importance of sustainable development, climate change, and a just transition towards environmentally sustainable economies.
The participants stressed the need for trade unions to play a major role in setting policies related to climate change, and to work for a just transition in order to reduce negative impacts on workers, to socially protect them, and provide decent job opportunities.
