This came during the opening speech delivered by Al-Halwaji in the (press release writing skills) workshop organized by GFBTU and held on February 8 and 9, 2022.
Al-Halwaji added that the amendment, if approved, would be an abuse of the workers’ rights, particularly in the current dire economic situation and the taxes that would be imposed on them.
He called on workers and retirees to express their rejection of the amendments, recalling the two tweet campaigns launched by the trade union. At the conclusion of his speech, Al-Halwaji explained that GFBTU, in its vision of reforming the labour market and pension funds, stresses that there will be no reform of pension funds without reforming the labour market.
