The media spokesman for the Hebron Transport Workers’ Syndicate stated that the strike was initiated by truck drivers and public vehicles. He noted that the protest will be “under the supervision of the union and that it aligns with Palestinian law.”
He added that the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU) will hold a meeting to create a committee that will address demands to the government. He, also, stated that if the government does not respond to their demands within 14 days, ‘escalatory’ steps will take place.
