In the letter, CDT General Secretary, Abdelkader Al-Zayer, recalled what was previously included in another letter sent on November 26, 2021 to the Prime Minister, stressing the need to institutionalize social dialogue in order to “develop the field of agreements and social contracts,” and “the need to respond to social, financial, and professional demands in both the public and private sectors.” The latter will help confront restrictions on trade union rights and freedoms, social conflicts, the declining purchasing power of wage earners due to inflated prices, and the repercussions of the epidemic on job opportunities.
