These measures were taken after the civil servants announced their affiliation to the UMT. Miloudi Moukharik said that “the national secretariat of the UMT has noted the provocative and arbitrary measures taken against members of the HCARAMAL civil servants’ union office in order to intimidate them after they joined the union as allowed by the constitution.”
In this context, UMT denounced the decision to dispense Ahmed Ghazoui, a member of the trade union office, of his duties as regional representative of HCARAMAL in Rabat just after the formation of the national trade union office. The trade union centre said that this is a punitive and disciplinary measure and a violation of trade union rights and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, laws, and charters.
