The trade union of gas workers and distributors in Lebanon has called for the replacement of old gas cylinders with new ones. In its statement, the trade union mentioned that the old cylinders are dangerous and called for the immediate resumption of the process of replacing them.
It is worth noting that in a decision dating to 13 January 2015, the Ministry of Energy announced a program to replace 4 million gas cylinders.
As about 70 billion Lebanese pounds were allocated to this program, the head of the trade union questioned the replacement process not taking place on which public safety and the lives of citizens depend.
