The Minister of Labour and Social Development said that 504 female domestic workers were arrested from 2019 until October 2021.
The minister explained that these workers are usually recruited from other employers via individuals or companies that offer hourly cleaning services, which is contrary to the law in force.
The minister added that several companies that facilitated the escape of domestic workers have also been arrested.
