The General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) in Iraq denounced transferring workers from the factories of companies affiliated within the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to other companies.
In a statement issued on December 26, GFTU denounced to these measures and described them as arbitrary. The transfer to the new companies does not match the workers’ experience and expertise. It, also, deprive other workers from their financial rights.
GFTU called on trade unionists and workers in all the factories to support workers who were subject to these illegal penalties, without any valid reason.
