On December 12, workers of the Yemeni Oil Company in Hadhramaut entered the second phase of the escalation strategy to protest by attending in their workplace and not working. Their protest aims at making their demands heard by presidential and governmental authorities. They, also, call for putting an end to economic crisis and the collapse of the local currency.
The strike includes the company’s administration of the branches and businesses of “commercial and local sales” and the company’s stations, except for the emergency branch of “electricity, food organization, camps, and others.”
It is worth noting that Yemen is going through an economic crisis and a collapse of the local currency.
