As part of the new draft finance law, the Ministerial Council has announced a reduction in the overall income tax for workers and civil servants.
The announcement came in a statement by the Council of Ministers following a meeting attended by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to study the general budget law for the year 2021.
The reduction was part of the demands made by the trade unions for years with the aim of increasing salaries and bringing them into line with inflation and price increases.
In Algeria, the reduction varies from one sector to another and can reach 35% of the salary.
