The National Union of Education and Training Personnel (UNPEF) has decided to join the national strike movement of November 1st to protest against the Ministry of Education and Teaching which has not responded to the demands of workers in the sector.
UNPEF becomes, in this regard, the second trade union to decide to go on strike in the sector, whose workers are calling for an improvement in salaries and the opening of new job positions.
UNPEF is also calling for the revaluation of grants and allowances, the return to progressive retirement (without the condition of 32 years of service), the regularisation of the situation of the graduates of the National School of Higher Education who have not yet been recruited, and the respect of trade union work.
