The Syndicate of National Social Security Fund (CNSS) workers has called for a partial work strike on Tuesdays and Fridays of every week to “protest against the salary cuts in the face of the economic crisis.”
In its statement, the union explained that “in light of the deteriorating economic situation and the increase in the price of products and fuel, the salaries of the workers must be revalued so that they can meet their daily needs.”
The strike decision came into effect on 26 October 2021.
