The National Education Federation of the Moroccan Workers’ Union (UMT) and the Minister of Education of the new government held a meeting on October 15 to discuss the sector’s concerns.
After the meeting, the federation issued a statement confirming the ministry’s intention to issue a unified statute for all categories of ministry employees.
The statement mentioned that the federation demanded the release of the amendment decrees of administration, direction, planning, doctors, and technical assistants. It, also, called for the settlement of the financial rights of workers in the sector and a salary increase.
The meeting between the federation and minister, also, addressed the situation of women workers and primary education workers.
