A comprehensive plan studying the needs of the international labour market, preparing Egyptian workers for the international labour market, and providing them with support and protection has been announced. The plan includes cooperation, training, and preparations with legislative measures.
The announcement has been made in a meeting of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) and the Manpower Committee in the Egyptian House of Representatives to study the file of migrants and workers abroad.
The press release issued on October 13 stated that the training centres of ETUF are qualified to train and prepare Egyptian workers for the Arab and international labour market.
In this context, the Egyptian House of Representatives will soon discuss a bill on migrant workers to prepare and protect migrant workers. The bill complements the Anti-Irregular Immigration and Smuggling of Migrants Law No. 82 of 2016.
