The Democratic Confederation of Labour condemned the government’s decision to make COVID certificates mandatory. The confederation described the decision as an unfair use of the Health Emergency Law, and considered it a violation of rights and freedoms.
In a statement issued on October 20, the confederation held the government responsible for the consequences of this decision, as it would cause confusion in the daily work in public services and tension between citizens and administrations.
The statement warned against any exploitation of this decision to harm the rights of workers or create social conflicts instead of addressing the effects of the pandemic on the working class.
