After the crisis that lasted 26 days, during which workers had a strike in all Universal Group companies, an agreement was signed on 9 October between the Universal Group and the General Union of Metal, Engineering, and Electricity Industries, under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour.
As a result of this agreement, the workers obtained all their financial rights. The agreement also stipulated that the remaining salaries for July 2021 will be paid on 12 October to those technicians and administrative staff who have not yet been paid, while August salaries will be paid to all employees on 10 October. September salaries will also be paid to all staff in addition to a regular monthly production grant.
The company’s administration has also been committed to paying salaries on the 10th of each month. Following the agreement, the protestors returned to work on 9 October.
