Employees of the Rafik Hariri Hospital started an open strike on October 5th to protest against the administration that ignored its previous commitments.
The employees stated that it is no longer possible to continue working with their current salaries that the administration had to increase their salaries three years ago.
The committee of civil servants is demanding the revision of salaries and the payment of the back-to-school grant, the grants of contractual workers and extra-hours payment.
The protesters have called for a dialogue to address their demands and resume work.
