Jordan: A preparatory workshop for an international cooperation program to develop job opportunities

The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the National Aid Fund held the first of the three workshops to be held in Jordan to prepare for the foundations of cooperation with the European Union (EU) to support the transition of beneficiaries of the Fund with financial assistance towards decent and sustainable job opportunities.

It is part of a project that supports the access of both disadvantaged Jordanians and Syrian refugees to a comprehensive national system of social protection and decent job opportunities. The project is funded by the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian crisis.

This project also aims to provide beneficiaries and targets with skills and competences relevant to the labour market to develop job opportunities and contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty rates among Jordanians and Syrians by coordinating their skills with sustainable jobs and economic opportunities.
