Trade unions of primary, secondary, and vocational teaching as well as contractual teachers have responded to the call to protest in front of the Ministry of Education on 8 September.
The Trade Union Coordination declared a “Day of Anger” to call for a salary increase and threatened to boycott the new school year.
The coordination president declared on 6 September that the new school year would not start without a general salary increase and the application of law 46.
The teachers are also demanding an increase in transport grants and easier access to fuel.
