The workers of the Nile Desert Roads Company protested at the company’s headquarters to demand the payment of their salaries and to express their solidarity with their colleague who threw himself under a train because of his professional situation.
The workers mentioned that the administration has only paid them the basic salary and that it has terminated all fixed-term contracts. The protesters also denounced the inhumane conditions in which they work, saying that they have no housing and that subcontracted workers have priority over them.
It is worth noting that the trade union committee has not reached any agreement with the administration.
