Education workers in the governorate of Tataouine protested in the headquarters of the regional delegation of education on September 16 to call for the payment of the start of the school year grant, stipulated by a circular from the ministry of education.
The regional trade union of education in Tataouine has in this context stressed that it has been agreed to pay 50 dinars for each student in primary schools and 80 dinars for each student in secondary school.
The regional education delegation said it did not receive any document from the ministry on to the increase of the grant. The delegation added that the workers have refused to receive their grant, assuring that the amount of the increase will be paid to the workers if the ministry gives permission.
