The Palestinian Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip announced on September 3rd that rescue teams recovered the bodies of three people from a tunnel in the border area with Egypt in the southern Gaza Strip. On September 2nd, he announced the death of Palestinian workers inside one of the commercial tunnels.
Both Palestinian and Egyptian authorities did not clarify the causes of the death of the three Palestinian workers.
It is worth noting that the border area between Gaza and Egypt has many commercial tunnels that Palestinians use to bring in goods, due to the blockade imposed on Gaza in the last 15 years. A large number of them were destroyed by the Egyptian authorities.
