A recent statement issued by the Electricité du Liban (EDL) warned of the attacks that may take place against electricity stations by citizens.
EDL explained that its workers are subject to attacks on a daily basis to force them to restore electricity to the distribution stations. Electricity was distributed to some areas over a period of 12 hours, while other areas were deprived of the electricity quota allocated to them.
EDL warned of the danger of citizens entering these stations and called on the security authorities to intervene and protect workers from attacks that threaten their safety.
