Asia Al Harthy, chairwoman of the Working Women’s Committee in the Oman Air Workers’ Trade Union, called for improving working women’s privileges in the private sector. Among the licenses a working woman need is a leave to accompany a patient.
The trade union official called for enacting a clear and explicit text, noting that women working in many private sector institutions are forced to take emergency leave, especially when it is related to the illness of their children.
