Starting from August 03, the Jordanian Ministry of Labour will start inspections to arrest migrant workers whose situation is illegal.
The Ministry called on employers in the private sector, who hire workers from other countries in illegal ways, to legalize their status, in order to benefit from the government’s decision, which entered into force on July 4, 2021 and ends on September 2, 2021.
The media spokesman for the Ministry stated that the inspection will include all sectors and economic activities to control non-Jordanian workers whose legal status has not been settled.
