The president of the National Union of Health Professionals warned against a new complication of the epidemiological situation. He called on the authorities to take urgent measures to preserve the health of citizens and protect professionals in the sector.
The trade union leader denounced the questioning of the effectiveness of the vaccines and said that Algeria will gradually move towards compulsory vaccination by imposing immunity certificates in companies, public spaces, airlines, and transport companies. He, also, mentioned that 191 Algerian doctors died from the virus since it’s the first wave, while 240 health professionals have succumbed to the virus out of more than 17 thousand others who had it.
