The Vice-President of the General Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia announced the start of procedures to test skilled workers is taking place, including Egyptians.
These procedures are part of the skilled workers program, which will be divided to phases with the last one taking place in January 2022. The vice-president stated that he has started implementing the first phases of professional examination for more than 23 sectors, including 1,000 professions.
He explained that the number of Egyptian workers in Saudi Arabia is huge. He specified that they must pass a theoretical and practical test to continue work. Those who fail the test will have to leave Saudi Arabia immediately.
On March 7, 2021, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development launched the program in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.
