The workers of the British company Petroceltic International filed a complaint to the labour inspectorate in Illizi and Algiers after ending their work contracts.
The company dismissed the workers after Sonatrach ended its contract with it. The contract requires developing the area of Ain Tsila in Illizi since April 12th, 2021.
According to media sources, a letter has been sent on April 21st to all workers informing them of being dismissed. Later, they were informed of the decision to receive a 12-day salary for the month of April and a one-month compensation. The workers rejected the decisions as a violation of their rights. The workers will open a case in the court.
